Brands to Know: Milk

Milk makes putting on makeup fun. The sleek and elegant packaging caught my eye when I first encountered the brand at Sephora, but what really interested me was the philosophy behind their products. Created by the media company of the same name based out of Los Angeles and New York, Milk Makeup caters to “the girl on the go.” Most of their products can be applied with your hands, and take little to no time to perfect. Their site even provides makeup tutorial videos with easy looks to try out- all of them around a minute long. These are some of my favorite products:

Blush Oil in Flush-Deep Pink

I apply it after putting on my concealer and bb cream, but you can also use it barefaced. You just push the back, roll it on, and blend it in with your hands. Although it's called blush oil, it doesn't feel sticky or greasy. I love the flushed, natural look and the incredible citrus scent.

Eye Pigment in Rave-Purple

The Eye Pigment is perfect for making a statement. This cream shadow comes in six bold and bright colors, and is long lasting and crease resistance. You don’t need brushes to apply it, and you can blend it or layer it to achieve different levels of intensity.

Eye Vinyl in Bridge-Nude

The best way to describe this product is like lip-gloss for your eyelids. It’s really easy and fun to apply, and like all their products, comes in a super pretty packaging. Try the nude for a subtler, daytime look, or the black for a bolder evening out.

Oil Lip Stain in Vibes- Sheer Hot Pink

What I love about the Lip Stain is how after you put it on, you don’t feel like you’re wearing anything. It goes on matte and the more you put on the brighter the shade gets. It’s also a great base layer for sheer lip-gloss.
