Got Me Thinking Pink
A New Yorker through and through, my wardrobe consists of a lot of black, because frankly there's no going wrong with black on black (on black on black). You can never be over or underdressed in an all black outfit. I don't think I own a single piece of pink clothing, not a stitch. A Pink Panther costume over Halloween required some last minute scrambling to borrow an appropriately hued dress. But after seeing a slew of stylish bloggers top off winter outfits with a fabulous pink coat, I may slowly be reconsidering the girliest of shades.
Pastel Pink
Camera bag // Embellished pumps // Silk came // Cut out slip ons // Slip dress // Double-breasted coat // Boyfriend sweater // Bucket bag // Ruffle top // Corduroy miniskirt // Tassel slippers // Culottes
Soft and understated, pastel pink (aka "millennial pink" aka "Glossier pink") is all the rage right now. Pretty without being garish, soft blush shades mix and match with the rest of your closet, pairing well with neutrals, denim, and brighter colors. Play up the feminine charm of the shade with flowing, ruffled pieces or ease it into a minimalist wardrobe with sleek, boyish cuts.
Fuchsia
Earrings // Mocassin loafers // Knit dress // Ruffle tank // Coat // Pleated midi skirt // Embellished flats // Silk blouse // Bell sleeve dress // Quilted bag // Oversize sweater // Sunglasses
If your wardrobe has been feeling a little blah lately, think of a pop of neon fuchsia as the perfect shot of caffeine to perk up all of your outfits. Start small with bright accessories or bold shoes that add a fun splash of color to any outfit. More adventurous dressers may want a bigger canvas with tops, skirts, and even menswear style coats - pair with gray, camel or navy for a youthful take on neutrals.
