Soccer and Style, Fashion and Fire
The Chicago Fire soccer team has been in the spotlight since German superstar Bastian Schweinsteiger transferred to Chi-town from none other than English Premier League's Manchester United. His world-class abilities and sportsmanship will undoubtedly bring up the level of play for Chicago, but what no one expected was what Schweini could bring to the runway in the Windy City.
On Wednesday May 3, Chicago Fire hosted their fifth annual Soccer & Style show at ROOF on the Wit. Showing off more than just their model-worthy physiques, the players donned Banana Republic's newest collection to raise money for charity.

Last year's show was a success, bringing fans closer to their players in a different sphere while also raising around $15,000 for the club's charity, the Chicago Fire Foundation, which supports sports-based youth development in the Chicago area. Players like Gonzalo Segares, Michael Harrington, and Brandon Vincent participated in the show. All proceeds from the show benefited the Chicago Fire Foundation, which aims to help out disadvantaged youth throughout the Chicago area.
Here are some highlights from last year's show:
