For Your Lakeside Runs: Tracksmith's Fall Line
Fall is the time to shake off any laziness you developed over the summer months. It's time to stop binging Netflix shows and sleeping till noon. It is the time to get back into the swing of life at UChicago. A life characterized by relentless, fast-paced, tiresome weeks.
In some ways, life at UChicago is like running. It can be hard to get started, but as you find your tempo, your rhythm, it can be sort of enjoyable. By the end of the quarter, you are exhausted and can look back at all you have accomplished. Soon enough, you return a little bit stronger, and whether you are ready or not, you run again.
Classes, clubs, spending time with friends, and managing other responsibilities can be demanding on its own. With busy schedules, it is especially important to find and plan times to exercise everyday. With daily exercise you can minimize stress, and maximize the clearness of your mind, and it lifts your soul in a way that is Pareto efficient (for those of you who believe in the soul). Running "Lagrangian" multiplies your health in countless ways, and so should be valued to some serious degree.
One good way to value your exercise time is to wear dope threads. Wearing stuff that is comfortable, durable and that you will rock the hell out of makes getting dressed for a workout a great way to rev up. I found this in Tracksmith's collections. They feature timeless New England racing styles. Their fabric choices and pieces fit comfortably and have collegiate color ways.
I highly recommend this brand. Check out their fall collection in the links at the bottom of this page and let me know how your runs go. Stay healthy, UChicago!
