A Sister Special Release
In 2016, James Charles broke the make-up scene by becoming the first-ever male spokesmodel for Covergirl. Since then, James has become one of the frontrunners for content creation on YouTube. His iconic looks such as Blank Canvas or the Solar Eclipse are a testament to his skill and artistry in the makeup field. Naturally, I was excited to hear that he had a “huge announcement” to make.
Following in the footsteps of many other beauty gurus and influencers, on November 2, James Charles revealed the much-anticipated release of his first collaboration with Morphe. The palette, containing 39 shades, is intended to help fellow makeup lovers “unleash their inner artist.” He dropped a teaser on, showing the various looks he’s created, and… I’m stunned.
In his release video below, James describes each individual shade and their integral role in the palette’s story. Ranging from everyday neutral tones to more artistic, out-of-the-box shades, James Charles claims that this palette is versatile enough to create really any look–something he believes has been missing in the industry. He goes on to describe the uniqueness of the shades, such as the pure red and white, both of which are difficult to create in labs.
The palette is surely eye-grabbing and will probably out-do the successes of the Morphe x Jaclyn Hill palette, as it seems to be an all-around product that will appeal to all sorts of artists. I’d definitely recommend grabbing this, since its release on November 13th, available on Morphe sites and their pop-up locations. I already have mine, and I can attest: it’s kind of incredible.
