Top 5 Best New Pokemon Designs

When crafting a party of Pokemon worthy of being the Galar region’s champion, more than strength must be considered. In the newest additions to the Pokemon franchise, “Pokemon Sword and Shield” take place in a region where gym battles and the champions cup are staged in front of massive audiences both at the stadium and in their homes.

These fictional fans want more than just a win on the board; it is your responsibility to create battles worth watching filled with style and character. As a result, in this new age of spectator Pokemon, I am going to be ranking the top 5 most aesthetic new Pokemon to consider for your team.

5. Inteleon

Yes, this pokemon IS a fashion twink and there is nothing you can say to make me think otherwise. Look at the hand placement. LOOK at that expression. Inteleon is upset nobody at the function is appreciating their fit, and won’t shut up about it all night. Catch them fawning over Harry Styles and having written terrible 1D fan fiction in 2011.

4. Corviknight

In the Galar region, trainers are shuttled between cities using the revolutionary Corviknight transport system. This is edgy, scary-crow is not only an adept battler, but a public transport icon. Fighting global warming is HOT in todays political climate, so showing up to a gym challenge flexing this eco-friendly alternative to distance traveling will surely net you a flock of environmentally-conscious Pokemon fans. Birds of a feather fight global warming together.

3. Galarian Rapidash

OG Pokemon fans will surely recognize rapidash as the signature Pokemon of Cinnabar Island’s fire-type gym, but in Galar they are much more. Now a psychic/fairy type, Pokemon really said “Gay Rights” with this one. Sporting a fabulous multicoloured mane, Galarian Rapidash is bound to stun at both Pride and gym battles. Rumour has it that you can find their pre-evolution, Ponyta, dragging underprepared trainers all around the Glimwood Tangle, but you didn’t hear it from me.

2. Hatterene

What can be said about the camp-queen Hatterene other than that she is Galar’s next drag superstar. Previous femme-fatale Pokemon (the sultry dame Gardevoir, the goth-chic Gothitelle, the Russian-royalty-turned grass icon Tsarena) are quaking in their boots. Hatterene is a high-society socialite and tea-and-crumpets goddess fit for the UK inspired Galar region. Dressed like royalty she is, she is serving a healthy heaping of sophistication and class your team desperately needs.

1. Frosmoth

Haute-couture lives and dies with the elegant Frosmoth. Pokemon’s first ever Ice/Bug type, their elevated sense of fashion will leave you bugging out and frigid with jealousy. That scarf? Louis Vuitton. Those wings? Gucci. Sure to impress even the most astute sartorial expert, Frosmoth is setting trends and blowing them away with a single flap of their gorgeous, icy appendages. Did I mentioned their eyelashes to the gods? Your fakes could never…
