Airport Dressing 101
Heading to the airport is like heading to the dining hall on a Saturday morning - you could go in sweatpants and Ugg slippers or you could pull yourself together (without sacrificing any comfort). The airport, aka the closest you'll probably get to Hell on Earth, is never a pleasant experience, but with some strategic dressing, you can be both comfortable and well-dressed (and a little less stressed).
Tops
Easy to layer and take on/off in case the guy next to you cranks up the air conditioning
Cardigan // Lips Crewneck // Ruffle Crewneck // Turtleneck // Striped Tee // Striped Button Down Bodysuit // Boyfriend Shirt
Bottoms
Pants always (bare legs on a scratchy plane seat are a no go), preferably with some stretch for those long hauls. Small details go a long way in amping up a pair of basic jeans or leggings.
Printed palazzo pants // Navy culottes // Faux leather leggings // Distressed jeans // Boyfriend jeans // Joggers // Lace-up leggings // Cargo joggers
Jackets
Streamlined, not too bulky and easy to throw on. Try and go for one with lots of handy pockets.
Leopard Jacket // Trench // Suede Biker // Denim Jacket // Pink Coat // Bomber // Boyfriend Coat // Wrap Coat
Shoes
A statement pair elevates any outfit. The trick is finding ones that are easy to pop off to go through security and slip back on to pace the narrow plane aisles when your foot falls asleep.
Mules // Embroidered boots // Gold loafers // Velvet sneakers // Pearl flats // Heeled booties // Red loafers // Embroidered sneakers
