Kris Stakes Her Claim in the Kylie Cosmetics Empire

Kris Stakes Her Claim in the Kylie Cosmetics Empire

It's time to throw more money at the Kardashians! Kylie Cosmetics has been constantly releasing collections this year, from new concealers to a collection dedicated entirely to Stormi... and they've all been a little monotonous and low in hype. Enter Kris Jenner (naturally), who recently brought herself to the forefront of the brand to shake things up.

On Mother's Day, Kylie Cosmetics released the Kris Jenner collection, featuring various products ranging from the classic Kylie Cosmetics lip kit to a face palette. Unsurprisingly, the packaging has been hijacked by Kris Jenner's name.

With the collection also came an extended video of the mom explaining all the products for us. It's definitely entertaining packaging with allusions to iconic lines from Keeping Up with the Kardashians and jabs at her own family, in a loving way of course.

The collections contains the following:

  1. A pressed powder palette
  2. An eyeshadow palette
  3. A lipstick
  4. A lip pencil
  5. A lipset with 8 shades including glosses, velvets, and mattes

The entire collection retails for $150, and considering how much product you'll receive, that's a pretty good deal.

If anything catches my eyes, it's definitely the pressed powder palette. It bares a striking resemblance to the KKW face palette, which has gotten great reviews and I personally enjoy.

Sadly, the self promotion seems to be as far as it goes, considering that Jaclyn Hill has torn apart this entire collection in a recent review, as well as the history some of the products from Kylie's lines already have.

I'm not sure how far quality goes in terms of name value, though. Most of the products from this collection on Kylie's website are already sold out, so it looks like the scheming power of this momager is still good as ever.
