Paris Hilton Got Married- A Look into her Dress(es)

As you may (or may not) know, 2000’s icon Paris Hilton was married on November 11th, 2021 in Bel Air to Carter Reum, whom she has been dating since 2019. The three-part, star-studded nuptials boasted guests such as Nicole Richie, Kim Kardashian, and Emma Roberts, just to name a few. But enough about the background, let us talk about her dresses she wore on her special day.

As a long-time long-sleeve wedding dress enthusiast (I would probably point to my first time watching Attack of the Clones as the moment this started), I was immediately in love with her wedding dress, a gorgeous, custom-made Oscar de la Renta gown that was inspired by Grace Kelly. From the moment I saw this dress, I was in complete awe and already knew it was one of my favorite wedding dresses of all time, and I’m not even exaggerating. The whole dress was a dream; Paris had mentioned that she wanted to look like a princess on her wedding day, and this gown achieved just that, with its long train, floral detailing, long sleeves, and majestic veil. It was a dress style that I do not see a lot of in celebrity weddings, or just in current wedding trends in general, and I was pleasantly surprised, and even the tiniest bit envious. This dress is everything I myself would want in a wedding dress and more.

The beautiful bride’s second dress that she wore for the couple’s first dance was a Gahlia Lahav off-the-shoulder ballgown made of sparkly tulle fabric, so that it would reflect the light while the couple danced. This gown also gave me major princess vibes, made even more prominent by the dainty tiara she paired with it. However, even though the dress was inspired somewhat by Cinderella, and obviously had this fairytale princess element to it, it still looked and felt very her, and did not look too costumey or overdone. And like I have always said, if your dream wedding involves you looking like a princess, go big or go home.

The third dress was a beautiful tulle, sequin, and pearl embroidered Pamella Roland gown that featured a cape attached, which the bride wore for the dinner portion of the evening. The dress, if we’re keeping with the princess theme, reminded me of Elsa (who, yes, I am aware she is a queen, but bear with me), but with a Greek Goddess meets Great Gatsby spin. She paired this dress with the tiara from her previous look.

The fourth and final dress (for that night, since there’s still another one) was a second Oscar de la Renta dress that used the same floral appliqués used in her wedding gown. This one was more for the party/dancing part of the evening, and Paris wanted a party dress that still felt bridal. And it achieved its goal; the dress was short and flirty, but was also very bridal and made me think “mini wedding dress.”

The Friday following the wedding itself, the newlyweds hosted a carnival at Santa Monica Pier, which featured a performance by a little artist known as Diplo, who I’m sure you’ve heard of. The bride wore a hot pink dress with embellished fishnet sleeves by Alice + Olivia, which was paired with a pink veil, heart-shaped sunglasses, and pink boots. The look was very Barbie meets Ultra Music Festival meets bride.

Paris finished off the three-day celebration with two dresses for a party at the former estate of her grandfather. The first look of the evening was a three-quarter sleeve lace-detailed Marchesa dress, which the bride wore while she greeted guests. The dress featured a long train, similar to her first dress, and was also very princess-like. The final dress that Paris wore was a third Oscar de la Renta that featured several bejeweled stars (made with Swarovski crystals). This dress was also very regal, but also otherworldly and fun. In other words, a perfect dress for the grand finale.
