Best Places to Eat Before the MODA Fashion Show
In case you live under a rock (no seriously), you know that the MODA Winter Fashion Show is fast approaching in the hip Morgan Manufacturing space. Why not make a night out of it and check out some more of our favorite places to eat in the Fulton Market/West Loop area before the show?

High Five Ramen: With only a dozen or so seats at the bar and a handful of offerings, High Five Ramen is all about quality over quantity. The broth is cooked for hours to make it rich and creamy, and the noodles are the perfect firmness. The signature "High Five Ramen" promises "pain, suffering, sweating, discomfort and a creeping feeling of deep regret that is followed by pure sensory euphoria" but for those not up for such an adventure of the palate, the dish can also be ordered at half-spice or with none at all. Exuding urban industrial-cool vibes (the entrance is marked by a sign in an alley and the restaurant is underground), the offerings are few but sure to delight.

Green Street Meats: Located just about High Five Ramen, Green Street Meats will more than satisfy all the carnivores out there. Green Street serves up nothing but choice offerings of chicken, brisket, pulled pork and more in an urban riff on a Texas BBQ smokehouse on Restaurant Row. The classic sides (sweet pickles, coleslaw, macaroni salad) and array of draft beers on tap round out a finger licking good meal in a low-key casual-but-never-bland space.

Grange Hall: The latest in the proliferation of farm-to-table burger places, Grange Hall outdoes the competition, with over a dozen burger options, a wide variety of dipping sauces and a suggested beer to pair with your burger for maximum flavor impact. The vibe is a bit "Little House on the Prairie" with large communal tables and a giant print of a cow on the wall, but what better way to stand out in your fancy fashion show digs?

Belly Q: If you're looking to continue the evening's industrial chic vibes, consider Belly Q. The tall stools and gleaming chandeliers add stark downtown elegance to the space. Part hip restaurant, part innovative art gallery, the Fulton Market Kitchen is the perfect space to check out all dolled up before the show. The food is almost as exciting as the decoration - ravioli with foie gras, lobster and pig tail with pickled ginger, or suckling pig with date relish. Sink into a deep armchair and prepare for a feast for the eyes and the stomach!
