Food to Help De-stress from Finals Week
Finals Week is stressful. There's just no way around it. But I know when I'm stressed, something that perks me up is good food, and not just mushy dining hall pizza that you regret eating 20 minutes later. Here are some places, on or near campus, that will help you de-stress from finals and papers!
I recently discovered Fabiana's Bakery this past quarter and completely fell in love and was, no joke, obsessed for a while. Fabiana's is coveneintly located inside University Church, a block away from the Reg and Reynolds, so you can drop by for a yummy study break (they also do take-out for when you spend the day locked in your room cramming). There is no set menu, so each day is a yummy surprise. Any cake on offer is worth trying, and if you stop by when there's nutella bread, well, lucky you.

Even in the depths of winter, I find myself with this craving for fro-yo. While walking to Core Bio, my friend and I discovered this gem, located in the science quad. The flavors are different every time we go, and they are all so good. There are lots of toppings on the side to choose from, and you can easily pay with Maroon dollars which is definitely a plus. My favorites are the mango and plain flavors!

Located in the basement of the Divinity School on the Quad, Grounds of Being is a local hub that will satisfy your coffee cravings. It's so conveniently located, and the coffee selection is great. To many, this is one of the best coffee shops on campus! If coffee isn't your thing, they also sell tea, pastries, and other food. However, make sure to bring cash because they don't take Maroon dollars or credit cards!

If you want to treat yourself to something a little more upscale, definitely check out the Promontory (if you haven't already!) They are both open for lunch and dinner, so you can go at your convenience. The atmosphere is very relaxing and will keep your mind off the stress of finals. My recommendations would be the Goat Burger and the Wagyu Strip Steak. If you decide to stay for dessert, the S'mores Souffle is a must.

Albeit all the way in Chinatown, Minghin is open until 2 a.m. in the morning, so if you're studying late at night and need a quick fix, this is the place to go! The interior is nice and spacious, so take a huge group if you want and they can accommodate. My recommendations would be the Shrimp Dumplings, Shu Mai, and the BBQ Pork Buns, and your dessert, the Egg Yolk Paste Buns! They also serve non-dimsum options as well, so if you need a more hearty, late dinner, try Minghin!
