It’s like Lilith Fair, minus the angst. Plus, frittatas!”-Leslie Knope In Season 2 of Parks and Rec, Leslie Knope blessed us with a new holiday to celebrate the inspiring women in our lives. To those of you tired of the Valentine’s Day hype -- we at MODA have compiled a list for you and your girlfriends to get the most out of this Galentine’s Day.

Brunch

Leslie Knope traditionally treats her girls to a nice brunch every Galentine’s Day. We suggest bringing your girlfriends to a cutesy brunch place like Bang Bang Pie, Little Goat, or Yolk to start your day off right.

Adventures in the City

Galentine’s Day can be more than just brunch, though! How about going on some fun, physically-challenging adventures with your gal pals in the city? We love Soul Cycle and Core Power Yoga, or if you’re feeling more adventurous, try rock-climbing at Brooklyn Boulders! For the non-athletically inclined, we suggest checking out the new Orchid Show at the Chicago Botanic Garden.
