Photography in Motion on the Adidas Mi ZX Flux

Photographers, designers, sneakerheads, and gym rats alike will all find something they want in Adidas’ newest creative option for custom sportswear. The Adidas Mi ZX Flux is a shoe available for customization through Adidas’ miAdidas shoe design system, but with the Mi ZX Flux Adidas put the creative reigns in the hands of the consumer by allowing customers to superimpose their own pictures on the shoe, view 360° models, and offers the opportunity to purchase their new designs with the #miZXFLUX App (available in the Google Play Store and the App Store).

With the #miZXFLUX app the limits of your shoe’s design are the limits of your creativity, and the versatility of the shoe is limitless (albeit copyright laws). Maybe you create a shoe from a selfie because you’re really weird, or you use a picture of the city skyline from a night downtown, a friend’s shot of the Midway at sunset, or a stock pattern you found on the internet. All of these images can can wrap around a pair of Adidas Mi ZX Flux’s.

The shoes themselves are a sharp sneaker that looks equally as good in the gym as it does with a pair of jeans, which is a rare quality in a sneaker that’s actually made for running. A good looking sneaker that’s also comfortable can’t be beaten on days when you’re doing a lot of walking in the city. From professional photographers to the Facebook selfie artist, all can have their best work follow them on their feet when they work. Sneaker enthusiast can try their hand at designing the sneakers on their feet and gym dwellers can have a personal hand in designing the shoes they put the most mileage in. Unfortunately, Adidas’ rules prevent you from using images of famous people so I don’t think we will see Ryan Gosling wearing a pair of these with Macaulay Culkin’s face on them anytime soon.
