Wake-Up Shake Up
It ain't called Chiberia for nothing. Slush. Massive wind tunnels everywhere. And, if you were brave enough to do Kuvia last week, freezing rain. Who can face a long slog to the gym in conditions like this?
Even for someone who loves exercise as much I do, this can be a major struggle. Especially when there is so much delicious hot chocolate to be consumed!
Here's a quick, straightforward set of exercises you can do in the safety of your dorm room (gym judgment can be too real) with basically no fancy equipment. Incorporate it into your morning routine to shake off the winter blues and get the blood flowing before battling the elements.
What you need:
- Yoga mat
- Jump rope (optional)
- Water bottle
- Towel
Workout:
- Stretch
- 10 burpees
- 5 minutes jump rope or jumping jacks (star jumps if you want to scale up)
- Repeat 3 times
- 10 pushups
- 30 squats
- 30 mountain climbers
- 5 minutes jump rope or jumping jacks (star jumps if you want to scale up)
- Repeat 3 times
- 1 minute forearm plank
- 30 crunches
- 30 kayaks
- 5 minutes jump rope or jumping jacks (star jumps if you want to scale up)
- Stretch
