MODA Show Hacks: Your Own Fashion Emergency Kit
Whether you're attending the upcoming MODA 2016 Winter Fashion Show (purchase your tickets here before they're sold out!) as a designer, model or avid spectator, you're undoubtedly thinking about how to make the most of the night. From finding the perfect pre-show beauty treatments and dinner spots or the best places to hit up afterwards, MODA has got you covered. If you're already wondering what you should pack in your purse the day of the show, scroll down for some helpful pointers on how to make the most of your night and be prepared for any potential fashion (or food related) emergencies. 1. For last minute fix ups: double sided tape, safety pins and bandaids are life savers when someone decides to step on your dress or when those really cute shoes you thought you'd take for a spin start to hurt ten minutes in!
2. For indulging in hors d'oeuvres: breath freshener and stain remover are you friends here, especially if you accidentally spill your cocktail or get chocolate on your purse, because let's face it, we've all been there.
3. For when you get hungry again: it's always a good idea to pack a snack wherever you go, especially if it's a healthy one. LUNA Bars are individually packaged, very nutritious, easy to slip in your purse and not to mention delicious!
4. For when your phone runs out of battery: smartphone battery charging cases are great investments in the long run, not just for special events like this when you'll be out all night, especially if you anxiously watch your battery symbol slowly turn from green to red throughout the day. Also consider bringing along a Polaroid camera to snap photos of your friends–the Fujifilm Instax mini 8 is compact and perfect for recording the night in a special way.
5. For the afterparty: some hair elastics and deodorant towelettes are going to come in handy after hours of dancing with friends. Swing by the MODA afterparty at the Underground for club music, complementary drinks and more!
