Where & Wear: MODA Show
With less than two days until the MODA Winter Fashion Show (snag your tickets before they sell out!), time is running out to prepare for the hottest night of winter quarter. On the invitation? Dress to impress. To help you bring your A game to the show, MODA has rounded up some of our favorite picks to land you on the best-dressed list.
If there was ever a time for a tailored terra-cotta jumpsuit, a runway show would be it. Continue the sleek lines of the jumpsuit with these minimalist sandals, and top it all off with a bad-ass moto jacket for a balance of sophisticated and downtown cool, perfect for the new industrial chic location.
There's nothing we love more than a dress that works with everything in our closet. Layered over a thermal long sleeve and chunky booties for class, over a silky blouse with ballet flats for an interview, or all on its own, this versatile suede shift goes the distance. Complement the slightly mod shape and gorgeous emerald hue with a bold faux fur coat and flirty-yet-fierce studded pumps.
Every girl wants to feel like a mermaid sometimes, and this pleated midi has Arielle written all over it. The delicate sea foam color and demure midi length balance out the sexy open back. Soft pink lace-up sandals (in one of the Pantone Colors of the Year) and a sweet scalloped clutch complete the dreamy underwater vibes.
Give the models a run for their money in this sizzling romper that looks like it's hot off the Dolce & Gabbana runway. Play up the mixed textures with chunky suede platforms for a modern take on 1970s disco glam. This is the perfect time to test out a gorgeous crown braid and show off these statement-making tasseled earrings.
You may not have access to Gwyneth Paltrow's facialist or Lupita Nyong'o's makeup artist, but you can compete in a game of "Who Wore It Best" with them in this caped mini dress. Architectural nude pumps and a delicate pearl collar strike the perfect balance between angelic and statuesque ice princess. Practical? Not in the least. Fabulous? Absolutely.
Few things make you feel as fabulous as twirling in a fierce fringe dress. Double the retro-vamp tone of the outfit with slick burgundy t-strap pumps and dark plum liquid lipstick (one of our favorites!). Prepare to be asked if you just got off the runway yourself!
