Trying out a new makeup trend is always a risk, but the MODA show this Friday (tickets available here) is the perfect opportunity to try out a more intense (or fun), celeb-inspired look. Here are some of our favorite beauty looks from the red carpet this year!

Amber Heard's glowy skin and rosy lips give her the perfect romantic makeup look. Sweet and striking, her lipstick is slightly darker and more muted than a traditional red lip and feels perfect for a winter event like the fashion show.

Zoe Kravitz goes for a bronze monochrome look, using a beautiful shade that works on her eyes, cheeks and lips. We love that the monochrome trend has moved into the beauty world, and Zoe's look is a great model for how to make this potentially tricky concept work.

Adele's winged liner and peach flush are the perfect balance between sexy and charming. If you've always wanted to try a wing, the MODA show is a great chance to try out the look, and Adele's peach cheeks warm up her entire face in a way that makes her seem effortlessly awake and healthy.

Solange Knowles rocks a smoky cat-eye and matte red for a look that feels both classic and of the moment. Her smudgy eyeliner is less defined than a typical cat-eye, creating a more mysterious and soft look, and her matte red is a classic take on the current matte lipstick trend.
