Where & Wear: Mindy's Hot Chocolate
Although the weather has been fluctuating like the instability of my calculus grades these past few weeks, there is no better way to beat the windy chills or celebrate the end of a hellish week of midterms than an egg filled brunch trip and decadent, home-made hot chocolate. Mindy's Hot Chocolate is nestled in the uber-chic and trendy Wicker Park neighborhood of Chicago.
The Brunch Menu features rustic, home-style dishes crafted from the freshest ingredients, from the toasted ciabatta beneath the eggs and avocado, to the freshly squeezed blood orange juice. You can't go wrong with the infamously decadent hot chocolate topped with home-made marshmallows - whether you treat yourself to the "Black & Tan" with hot fudge or stick to the classic "Medium". The atmosphere practically begs for an impromptu Instagram snap session, with dazzling string lights, painted bricks decorated in an eclectic collection of vintage mirrors and bottles-turned-vases, and a craft paper specialty drinks menu.
Mindy's is the perfect destination for dressing up and celebrating a Saturday or Sunday morning with brunch and your pals, all while shifting all the weekend's readings and problem sets to the back of your mind. Channel the fresh vibes of sliced avocado, whipped ricotta, arugula, and grapefruit piled high a top a slide of multi-grain bread toasted to the perfect crunch with a equally crisp and refreshing white blouse. Pair with a black pair of pants or skirt to give off chic, monochrome vibes, or throw on a pair of boyfriend jeans and be the relaxed calm and cool girl you are.

Hot Chocolate + Wool Coat
Just as a rich and decadent mug of hot chocolate warms your insides and fills you with smooth happiness, a chic wool coat feels of the same smoothness and keeps you warm against winter days. I am currently loving the warm camel and cool grey hues of coats this winter, contrasting so well against my ever present all black uniform underneath.
